Adrienne and her husband Miles have three handsome boys and one sweet little girl. The youngest boy and girl are twins. We had fun chasing them around and watching their daughter keep up with all the boys and believe me she did! These crazy moments at photo sessions often reflect life just the way it really is. Sometimes it's nuts, especially with four, but just when you think it is overwhelming or complete chaos, a simple photograph can remind you that everything really is just fine. This is just the way they are-beautiful, real, chaotic. Thanks Adrienne and Miles.

Three Chairs and Four Kids
It is always amazes us how sometimes during a shoot it may feel like complete mayhem but everything always turns out just fine. We recently had the chance to photograph our dear friend Adrienne's four children. We come from a family with four kids too so we know first-hand what life is like with four kids. It is non-stop but we love it and would not change it for anything.

A little bit of Heaven
For those that live in the Kansas City area I recommend a visit to Johnson Farms this fall. It is one of my very favorite places to visit with or without children. It truly is a little piece of heaven right here in Kansas City.
My family has visited numerous pumpkin patches in the area and Johnson Farms tops our list every year. One of things I love most, it is actually a working farm in addition to a pumpkin patch. You will find crops, baby animals, entertainment, mums and of course, pumpkins!
The Johnson's have been farming here for 10 years and offer fall fun and a full green house for your spring planting as well. I suggest getting there early or going just before closing time - it's breathtaking to catch the sun rising or setting over the fields.
If you visit, I suggest the tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch, so you can search for unique pumpkins or gourds. Your kids will love the adventure! You can even step out into the fields to pick your own veggies or flowers. Take in the calmness of the 140 acres away from the kid areas. Breathe in the smells of the farm, fresh flowers and apple cider.
We had the chance to meet Jorge in his cowboy hat while we were there harvesting fresh beans. He has been working with the Johnson's for many years and you might also catch him on a tractor during your visit. He allowed us to get a few photos of him working the land and we must say he looks like he was put on earth to work in this beautiful spot.
Visiting the farm reminds me to slow down in my usually hectic life and appreciate everything around me even more. I hope you will find some time to visit this fall. The Johnson's are an amazing family and we encourage you to support their local business. Enjoy! -Lindsay

Photo Party
Recently we worked with a client that wanted to get several of her friends and family members together for food and photos. The client provided the place and arranged for all of her guests to come and eat a wonderful picnic lunch and have their kids photographed. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun working with each of these families. Plus, the kids had a great time making each other laugh for the photos. We can customize a group session for you. Call us today to learn more about how we can work with your group.
Don't forget to sign up to follow our blog for a chance to win a free session. The drawing is at the end of the day tomorrow, Friday, October 7th. Here are some of favorites from the party. Enjoy!

Hole in One
Fabulous fall is here! We spent the evening with the Markham family at their home on a beautiful golf course. Jen and Tyson's little guy, Jackson, had us running all over the place as he checked out the greens. We also got off the course for some fun shots in the natural landscape nearby. Jackson is only one and a half, but already looking like he is going to follow in his daddy's footsteps with a love for golf. The session ended with an amazing sunset which made for some great shots! Thanks Jen and Tyson for sharing Jackson with us and your beautiful home.
Don't forget to sign up to follow our blog! This Friday, October 7th, we are giving away a free weekday session to one of the first 20 people to sign up.
